Nikoline Sander

Nikoline Sander is a PhD Fellow at the Design Lab at Aalborg University, working at the intersection of design, materials, and aesthetics. Her research centres on circular design practices, with a particular focus on how discarded and imperfect materials can be reimagined as valuable resources in product and furniture design. With an emphasis on formgiving and framing strategies, her work explores how material imperfections can be integrated and elevated rather than concealed. She approaches design with a strong care for materials and respect for their histories, aiming to extend their lifecycles through thoughtful and visually compelling design solutions.
