Eva contributes with knowledge e.g. on democratic design experiments, participation and learning in design, especially on collaborative methods and approaches for how designers can stage and perform open design processes (design labs and living labs) where a diverse group of participants can both familiarize existing practices and explore and rehearse possible futures collaboratively. At EK Eva is co-leader of the new strategic research environment ‘Social design, use and consumption’. Eva has published more than 80 books, articles, and papers.
